Commercial Description:
Cask; Seasonal - Winter and Spring.
Smooth and satisfying, this example of an historic style of beer derives its rich, chocolatey character from a blend of Brown and Chocolate malts in the brew. Its notable coffee notes and creamy finish make it a wonderful accompaniment to many sweet foods – especially chocolate pudding. 5.4% ABV.

NOTE: Most Fuller's beer in the US is served by handpump kegs and not a cask. Ask your server.

[Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] An opaque red-brown beer with a small brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted with notes of caramel and hints of coffee - the flavor is like the aroma, but combined with notes of berries. The mouthfeel is smooth.

(On tap) Black and almost opaque with a vague reddish hue. Creamy, beige head leaving some laces. Lightly burned, malty nose. Rather full body, lightly burned malty flavours with some incredibly delicious almost vinous accents - port - and some accents of dried fruit. Discreet hoppy finish. 160406

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Black. Buttery malty nose. Sweetish with rounded mouthfeel. Soft and lightly roasty. Mostly bold and butterscotchy, salty finish. Possibly one of the best 1000 porters in the UK.

Cask. Sweet with a lot of liquorice flavour. The taste just seems to go on. Quite smooth and very drinkable in the good way. Very nice.

Cask@Old Bank, Turku. Black opaque, not much head. Very fine roasted malt and toffeeish flavour, with hints of dark chocolate. Flavour is strong roasted malt with hints of oak. A bit bitter finish and caramelly aftertaste.

Cask at Charlies. Black coloured with a beige head. Roasted aroma with notes of coffee and liquorice. Roasted flavour of coffee, liquorice and chocolate. Long dry finish of liquorice. The cask version is much better than the bottled version.

Cask Conditioned
Dark color, with brown and red shades, nice creamy cap. Nice aroma, malt, roasted malt, cardboard, coffee, unmalted grains, bran. Very smooth, absolutely chocolatey, with delicate notes of coffee; the necessary residual sweetness.
