CAMRA Supreme Champion Beer Of The Year 1979.
Known and loved for its distinctive, rounded flavour, London Pride is the award-winning beer for which Fuller’s is most famous. In recent years its popularity has grown to the extent that it is now Britain’s leading premium ale: a welcome fixture in many pubs and off licences around the country, and now winning new friends abroad.
To the beer afficiando looking for the classic English pint, we say this: Whatever you do, take Pride.

NOTE: Most Fuller's beer in the US is served by handpump kegs (at 4.7%), not casks. Ask your server.

Burts Hotel, Melrose...great food, and a great pint..I thought the bottled version was superb but this was even better. Hotel is well worth a visit if your in the area.

Cask@Old Bank, Turku, Finland. Served at approx 10 degrees C. Golden colour, huge bubbly longlasting head. Bitter lemon/orange in aroma. Smooth fruity aroma with bitterish finish. Much smoother than bottle version. I feel they serve the real ale a bit too cold at Old Bank, as the beer stood on the table for a while and once it got warmer aromas and flavours started showing up...

Clear copper red, with small white head. Very faint, malty aroma. Distinct fruity flavor of fresh grapes. Very light, somewhat watery body. Hardly any carbonation. Intereseting, albeit a bit too faint in every aspect.

Cask @ Pontefact Castle, London: Golden coloured. Unclear. White head. Fruity, caramelly and light herbal cask. Is fresh and crisp. Has a nice bitter end.

Couldn’t help but look at Steve’s (silktork) comments prior to this - Amazed at how similar I feel before reading. Being that I don’t know any better I have always held this as something of an English ale standard. And was underimpressed with it on cask in London. The price here keeps me from drinking it on a regular basis. Was so much easier in the distant past when I could buy it at cost. Why so dear?

At 3.45 i expected greatness here, and its good but not as high as that maybe. Anyway aroma is malty and maybe a bit sweet fruity hops. Taste is not as bitter as expected though nice maybe a bit thin but quite satisfying. I feel im maybe judging this a wee bit low, but i honestly cant feel myself pushing it any higher. A great session beer that ill have to have again sometime.
