Known and loved for its distinctive, rounded flavour, London Pride is the award-winning beer for which Fuller’s is most famous. In recent years its popularity has grown to the extent that it is now Britain’s leading premium ale: a welcome fixture in many pubs and off licences around the country, and now winning new friends abroad.
To the beer afficiando looking for the classic English pint, we say this: Whatever you do, take Pride.

NOTE: Most Fuller's beer in the US is served by handpump kegs (at 4.7%), not casks. Ask your server.

Cask. Dark, clear orange, 5mm of white, bubbly head. Aroma is spicy, rich caramel malt, fruits, earthy hops. Flavour is full, sweet toffee malts, a bit smoky, fruity, with a dry finish. Light to medium body, smooth. It’s better bottled.

Cask @ Barrow Boy & Banker, London. Pours copper with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel malt, fruit and nuts. Thin for a bitter and has a watery finish. Soft carbonation and low bitterness. Not bad overall just not as inspiring as I’d anticipated.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Amber colour, white head. Aroma of caramel malts. Flavour has caramel malts, citrus and a hint of hops.

Cask at Molly Malone’s Irish Bar, Helsinki, Finland. Deep golden colour with thin off-white head. Fruity (abricot/peach) and toffee aroma. A bit yeasty, hoppy and bitter flavour. Quite different from the bottle version. I guess I like the bottle version better but this is not bad at all.

I found this amber bitter way too sweet all over. The aroma consisted solely of disturbingly sweet malts which were joined by the tiniest hints of hop and cereal characters. This was watery and just plain un-cared for. I believe I may have had a far substandard pint when looking at other raters reviews. The pub I had it at was a complete dive. Its clientele was made up almost exclusively of bin-men. I shall endeavour to find a better pint of this soon, but for now I’m afraid I can rate it no higher.

Cask@ Angleterre, Helsinki. Amber color with a typical real ale, small head. Sweet aroma of caramel maltiness and nice hop presence. Quite refreshing taste of rounded maltiness and nuttiness with floral hops. Had this on thirst, and it was truly the right beer for that situation. I actually prefer this over bottle and certainly over keg -version.
