on cask at various london pubs. deep amber with a thin head, pleasant caramel aroma with hints of red berries, some toffeed apple sweetness, light floral bitterness, pretty decent

Oct 4, 2008 An ale that is in every other pub but not always in the best of nick. Tip top it’s a very passable session beer with a decent head, sweetness, fruitiness and overall well balanced.

Sep 13, 2008 Cask at the Peacock, Nottingham. This is amber coloured with a good balance of malt and hops flavours (with some nice caramel sweetness). I assumed this would be much better from the cask than the pasteurised bottled version. It’s not much better.

does not count  Aug 20, 2008 Had this beer at Fullers Brewery while on Holiday in London. Pours a translucent amber with a beige head. Has a sweet aroma and flavor.

Aug 14, 2008 Had this on cask when I was in London on vacation. Pours a clear amber with a white head. Sweet aroma. Flavor was mainly malt, with just a little bit of bitterness. Decent beer.
