| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 2, 2009 Pours a dark orange red with a creamy off white froth. Aroma is mostly a blend of sweet malt and dark overripe fruits. Typical english bitter light fruity nose and soft hop characteristic. Flavor starts with some plum fruitiness. Gets a sort of light caramel character before gaining a crisp bitter balance. Sweet sugary dark fruits in the finish with an eased bitterness. Medium body very minimal soft carbonation. Not a bad beer, very easy drinking for the pub Muggus69 (566), Sydney, Australia

Soapy white foam and lace. Clean deep gold body.
Malt driven aroma; golden syrup, toffee, faint breadiness, some earthy hop character.
Low carbonation, chewy malt texture, good length body.
Honey and light toffee flavours upfront, undertones of spice and earthy leafy hops, hints of dark fruit esters. Finishes quite sweet, moderate bitterness.
Good bit, enjoyable malt character and yeast driven complexities.

It has just about the right ABV, so I don’t get too drunk which makes this a fine session beer. Very drinkable indeed. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium

Faintly sourish, fruity nose. Lightly sweet before a light, dusty, dry hop bitterness rides into the finish. Subtle and tasty and quaffable. swoopjones (1923), Buffalo, New York, USA
