Flavor is grass and hops. Good aftertaste, great beer. plovmand (1588), Helsinge, Denmark Feb 26, 2009 Bottle. Clear amber body with a medium short lasting white head. Aroma is mainly caramel and bitter hops but also some discrete fruit. Its medium to light bodied. Flavour is rather fruity with hints of toffee and caramel as well as UK hops. Bitter and malty finish. PaulHegedus (458), Georgetown, Ontario, Canada Feb 24, 2009 500ml can. I wish they sold the bottle here in Ontario. Cellar temperature. This is a light amber colour in the glass, lightly carbonated with a small head, appropriate to the style. The aroma is bready, with toffee in the malt and a delicate, earthy hint of hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium. There’s plenty of caramel in the malt, subtle butter, some earthiness and pine in the hops, distant fruit. kiwibt (51), , New Zealand Feb 22, 2009 Bottle, bb 19/10/09
Light reddy brown clear with medium head. Aroma of malty crystal with a earthy hop background.
Crystal malt mouthfeel finishes dry with earthy mineral bitterness, slight floral hop flavour, mild carbonation.
Overall a well balanced bitter, slightly thin. Fred82 (343), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Feb 20, 2009 500ml bottle. Poured clearcopper colored. Small white head. Discrete aroma. Caramelly taste. Quite bitter and a bit metallic on the finish. Ok beer but nothing to write home about. Rating #29. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Feb 16, 2009 On tap at the Ye Olde Falconers pub in Fort Lauderdale. Poured a clear, dark copper color with a thin off white head. The aroma was toasty with nut notes present. The flavor was nutty, with roasted malt and toffee present. I thought this was good, but there was something just a little off. Maybe it was just my tastebuds. jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Feb 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours yellow-brown with a soft froth head and some lacing. Smells nutty and bitter and a little carmely. Tastes nutty and bitter, a little bit of wood flavor as well. Slightly roasty. Definately has a typical brittish beer flavor, must be the water, but a very good beer, nonetheless.
Lalli (149), Helsinki, Finland Feb 6, 2009 0,5l bottle. London Pride never disappoints you; you know what you get and there´s nothing wrong with that. Sure, it might not be the most exciting beer around, but it does defend it´s place among beer classics with ease. Has a nice deep copper color. Noce is quite malty with roasted notes. Flavor is also mostly malty, nicely balanced with English hops. Cosy finish.
