Pours a clear amber with a diminishing, frothy, off-white head.
Blast of fruity (sweet cherry, berries, some citrus), grassy hop aroma.
Fresh and light palate. More malts coming through in the flavour, slightly forced fruitiness quickly overtakes the subtler balance of biscuit/bitter-dry, leaving a finish that is predominantly caramel and over-sweet.
Shows promise at first, but ends up overdone and spoilt. cfrancis (311), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada

Pour was a decent medium gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was awful. All caramel malt with a very sweet wet aftertaste. This beer embodies everything I hate about English beer. Blah. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 18, 2008 On tap at the Sanctuary. Aroma has some grassy and weedy hops along with some cookie and pale English malts, ok. Appearance with a small white, bubbling head, light copper in color. Taste of some weedy citrus, and a semi off balanced bitter linger, and decent but lighter overall feel. Not really a huge fan of this one.
