Fuller’s London Pride is a crystal clear amber ale with a small, dense, beige-white head that fades to a bubbly film. It leaves some nice lacing. The aroma is nice and full. The yeast is farty and cheesy. The hops are sweet, spicy and grassy. It’s musty, but not stale. The aroma elements all fit together well. Some light grain is in the nose. A minty character comes out after a while. It is silky smooth on the tongue and mouth. It’s just a bit light to call it medium bodied. The finish is dry and tight. It leaves you thirsty-- pulls you in! The flavor is decidedly more wooden than the aroma. The flavors are really blended well to make a single taste. Sweetness and smooth, grainy malt starts it off and then it turns warm and herbal, like Chartreuse or something. Wood resin and maybe bay leaf linger on the taste buds. Super drinkability! This is an awesome session ale!

Bottle. A clear, golden pour with a small off-white head on top. Quite weak on the nose, but pleasant, bready and malty aromas takes up most of the space, and it is a beer that needs to sink in, as it gets more and more pleasant as it is drank. The flavor is on the malty side as well, toasted and caramelly, with just enough fruityness and bitterness to make it sessionable. Full body and a lingering hop-bitterness and toasty flavor in the finish. Sure a repeatable beer. It starts off a bit boring, but it doesn’t finish that way. (080112)

Copper brown, thin pale head. Nose is grassy and sweet citric-like hops, light metallic notes and even some orange marmalade? Flavor quite refreshing with bitter citric hops. Some fruitiness, malt stays in the background. Medium bodied with soft carbs, a bit watery. Quite nice and basic session beer.

Sampled @ St. Andrews 44th street location. Beer had an awesome palate, extremely sessionable. Very nice hop tang to it as well - somewhat piney. Super impressed.

Bottle 50 cl. Small creamy white head mostly diminishing. Clear golden body. Malty aroma of bread, caramel and cereal, hoppy aroma of flowers, grass and citrus. Also some apple in the nose. Medium body, thin texture, average carbonation and bitter finish. Well balanced flavor, moderate sweet and bitter. Nice bitter finish.

Pours a clear pale amber with an enormous creamy-smooth dense head and great lacing. Faint apricot aroma. Taste is bland - vaguely Fuller-esque yeast profile. Sorta like a blonde ale. Some snappy hops, but quite lager-like with notes of honey. Sadly no longer available in bottles, poured from a can (flat) with a creamy body. This was much better in the bottle, but as it stands I’m no fan of the can. Bland, lacking the character of any other Fuller’s ale available in the lower mainland.
