Really enjoyed this beer. Gave me a great impression of English beers. Great and would definitely drink again. Outstanding. PintPilgrim (16), Ontario, Canada Oct 3, 2007 golden amber colour... decent lacing. low carbonation. nice finish but find it a bit thin. not a bad session beer. fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 3, 2007 Amber in color. Caramel and spicy. Very nice beer. The hoppy bitterness is very pleasant. Dry finish. Carlus12 (361), London, Greater London, England Oct 3, 2007 Pours amber / golden colour. Off-white head. Medium body with sweet / hoppy taste, also some spice. Clean / crisp finish. Make for decent drinking. aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 1, 2007 The color was a medium golden/orange. The head was thin and off-white. The aroma was caramel malt and some sour notes. The flavor was caramel malt, some sour notes, and some hoppy bitterness. The palate was thin and the finish was a little abrupt. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 1, 2007 Pours a pretty standard pale ale/bitter. Coppery orange with a thin slightly creamy off white head. Pretty standard english style. Smells earthy and herbal hops, basementy, caramel sweetness. Taste has a moderate hop background, sessionable, noticeable malt sweetness, toned down herbal hops. Not bad overall. DownsouthGav (602), Greater London, England Sep 30, 2007 A landmark beer for us Londoners. Pours a rich creamy amber beer with notes of spices and fruit. Quite a complex beer with a sense of maturation informing the nose and mouth.
