bobinlondon (786), Harrow, Greater London, England Jul 6, 2009 Bottle or can countless times over the years. My local asian off licence used to sell the canned version for a quid a throw so this used to be a regular fridge beer at home for me. I don’t tend to buy it now for various good reasons but still get offered it at friends houses as it is common as shit in my area. Like most Fullers beers, it’s suffered from hop deprivation and conical fermentation/ mass production of late. However, I have to say that I prefere it to the cask version which is notoriously unreliable even in tied houses. To me the canned version tastes better than the bottled. Maybe this is just because the posh glassware leads you to expext more. oOJUXEOo (27), Pennsylvania, USA Jul 5, 2009 Pours a copper hue. Very good session type beer. Better than ESB. Not hop heavy, but definitely hop complex. Enjoyed! walrussell (94), , Illinois, USA Jul 2, 2009 Nicely mild beer. Mildly sweet, mildly bitter at the end, very refreshing, easy to chug, and good with indian food. JediMindTricks (240), Hampton, Virginia, USA Jun 27, 2009 Ok. Sweet malts on the nose. Decent maltiness in flavor, but hardly any hop presence. Gets sour in the finish...it is what it is... Archibaldo de la Cruz (394), Finland Jun 25, 2009 Bottle. Copper colour with a medium sized white head. Malty aroma with hints of spices and hops. The flavour is slightly sweet and bitter with some malt and hops. Touch of spices and toffee. Very good, balanced brew. WVHouseofBeer (339), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Jun 24, 2009 Very smooth, with nice creamy body. Pours a light copper color with a good amount of white head and lacing. This is a nice smooth beer to sit back and relax with on a hot summer day. aaronbr (49), Palo Alto, California, USA Jun 23, 2009 It could be that I am so dead from flying from San Francisco to London that anything would taste good. Or maybe I’m just filled with the excitement of being in London for the first time as I sip this from my hostel in the heart of Westminster. But this is really making me happy right now. Pours from 500ml bottle a nice amber with lots of persistent lacing. Creamy on the palate, like several pub ales I’ve tried. Pretty sweet, medium bodied, and a nice hoppy kick added in. I’ll look for this one when I’m back Stateside for sure. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Jun 19, 2009 Clear amber with an off white head. Mild spicy hop aroma with sweet pale malts. Medium body. Lightly sweet cracker malt flavors with a mild hop twang to finish.
