2009 Can. This is not what I expected, though I immensely enjoyed it! Well-made ESB, smells like a balance of malt and hops. Mouthfeel reminiscent of Boddington’s or another British pub ale...creamy yet refreshing. Flavor of hops and malt swirl effortlessly to make this a great example of a good ESB.

Poured into a shaker, I must buy an English Pint. I just don’t drink many English beers. Anyway... nutty and vanilla like aroma, resembling almonds. Golden brown pour with a light creamy head. Somewhat malty up front, with caramel and almonds seeping in at the end. Palate was creamy, but not remarkably so. Another overpasteurized, overrated English beer.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a reddish copper with a small head and weak aroma of biscuits, hops and spices. The taste is far more intens, notes of toffee, sweet malts, bitter hops and herbs. A smooth drinking beer with a nice bitter finish. Really good!

bottle poured a clear amber with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, honey and light fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and a hint of honey with a smooth malty finish.

Pour from 11.2oz bottle. Deep copper amber brew, off-white head with irregularly sized bubbles. Fizzles slowly and leaves ample lacing as the glass is drained. Complex aroma dominated by malt with aromatic hops. Sweet malty body with strong hops twang in the finish. Very flavorful and very well balanced. Medium mouthfeel with active carbonation. Excellent.

Bright amber with a little white head. Very British hop aroma, delicate and inviting, with the right malty touch. Perfectly balanced, crisp, with flowery and fruity nuances, some berries. Ends with a spicy dry bitter note. Lovely and dangerous.

toasted brown with decent white head. very aromatic with British hop and malt both present. moderate to high carbonation for the style. flavor starts with some strong crisp and clear bitterness followed by a toasted maltiness and some clean hop flavor to finish with some esters present leaving a lingering fruity finish. Amazingly well balanced, with every ingredient well featured. Awesome ESB
