OK musky herbal hop, toffee and faint orange aroma once heated. Honey, caramel, soggy paper, liquorice and aniseed hints. Seriously missing any of the fruitiness and body of its cask counterpart. Dead slicked tawny amber. Ridiculously overrated, and not just by me.
(ORIGINAL RATE) Buttery caramel malt aroma with hints of fruit and roast. Crystal clear red body with a thin white head that vanishes quickly. Toasted malt, juicy fruit, maybe a drop of honey. Much more assertive hop bitterness than the draught version. Fantastic length and complexity for the style. But the greatest thing about this beer is that delicate fresh-breadiness that lingers in the nostrils long after you’ve swigged it. Delicious and insanely drinkable stuff. 737315 harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA

YOu always know when you are drinking something from Fuller's. A little to light, but not bad, smooth and slightly bittersweet, with a slightly sour aftertaste.
Definitely a beer to enjoy with your dinner. Suttree (2735), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Taste of nutty malt , then a weird and unexpected metallic finish mixed with citrus hops. A slightly hollow mouthfeel. IrishBoy (2716), Bakersfield, California, USA

I downgrade it for the diacetyl which really distracts me in a bitter! (or almost any beer) making it mediocre to me for the poor quality control michael-pollack (2713), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
