Clear & coppery, caramel, some stone fruits, and a metallic tang in the nose. Flavours of roasted malt and stewed fruits with a slightly bitter finish. Deliciously drinkable.

UPDATE: One of those new-fangled 330ml bottles from Tesco designed to wean lager drinkers onto crap watery bitters. OK musky herbal hop, toffee and faint orange aroma once heated. Honey, caramel, soggy paper, liquorice and aniseed hints. Seriously missing any of the fruitiness and body of its cask counterpart. Dead slicked tawny amber. Ridiculously overrated, and not just by me. (ORIGINAL RATE) Buttery caramel malt aroma with hints of fruit and roast. Crystal clear red body with a thin white head that vanishes quickly. Toasted malt, juicy fruit, maybe a drop of honey. Much more assertive hop bitterness than the draught version. Fantastic length and complexity for the style. But the greatest thing about this beer is that delicate fresh-breadiness that lingers in the nostrils long after you’ve swigged it. Delicious and insanely drinkable stuff. 737315

Lots of hop and again that taste that only Fuller's can make. YOu always know when you are drinking something from Fuller's. A little to light, but not bad, smooth and slightly bittersweet, with a slightly sour aftertaste. Definitely a beer to enjoy with your dinner.

Bright, clear copper, no head. tarish walnut aroma. Taste of nutty malt , then a weird and unexpected metallic finish mixed with citrus hops. A slightly hollow mouthfeel.

500 ml bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose is caramel, light hops, and a buttery light diacetyl note; clear amber with a big beige head; flavor lightly bitter with some breadiness, and a slight, very light bit of diacetyl (there but not much); finish lightly bitter. I downgrade it for the diacetyl which really distracts me in a bitter! (or almost any beer) making it mediocre to me for the poor quality control

330ml Bottle: Very slight grain aroma. Poured amber/orange in color with a tiny white head that disappeared immediately. Clear. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of grains, pale malts, piney hops, and a hint of caramel. Light to medium body. Watery texture. Average carbonation. Slightly malty finish.

A good classic and one of the better widely-available beers. Remarkably, this is available on board many British Airways flights.

50 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Amber clear colour with a nice white head. Nice light aroma of sweetness and fruit. Nice tasty flavour with notes of caramel, malt and a smooth hoppy finish. Very drinkable.
