NOt bad, but it has the characteristic english flavor at all. Although it has more bubbles than usual, as some may say. It is dark, and bitter.

A very nice beer. The hops are obvious and the beer has a nice red colour and is quite easy to drink.

Bottle. Nice bitter buterscotch aroma. A crisp, dry, slightly metallic, and watery beer with a little hop bite but nothing much else going for it.

Dark bronze color, medium amber at the edges, with a nice 3/4" fluffy white head. Aromatics are soft, creamy, herbal, with a touch of spice, and a little hint of fruit, with a hint of apple and citrus. Assertive hoppy bite upfront on the palate, which slowly, softly subsides. A touch of copper exists as well. Texture and body are mild, with a good, lasting finish. For a "pub ale", quite good. Not the sort of brew that I’d write a sonnet upon. It tastes good, but not enough to divert your attention from the dartboard. This exists solidly between their ESB and IPA. And that’s OK.

Light amber/straw colour with a medium size head. Little spice and maybe some malt on the nose. No real or big flavours coming through but for its style this beer is quite good. Nice light bitterness mixes with a touch of honey and maybe a bit nutty. Long finish. Cheers!

Can. Medium orange, little head. Aroma faintly of caramel and some slight resin and floral notes. Flavor matches, with a nicely balanced bittering finish. Not bad, better than I recalled, with a nicer hop flavor.

Clear copper color and medium white head that mostly diminished but left decent lacing behind. Smell of burnt butter, sweet malt, and woody hops. Flavors of fruit and nuts framed on a buttery English malt background and a dry finish. A classic beer.
