From a bottle at yeoman’s Road Pub in Tampa. Thin head which recedes quickly. Smelled of old growth fruit orchard. Malty and slightly sweet taste in the front fading to bitter with a surprising amount of hop. Highly drinkable.

Bottle. Light, balanced aroma of malt and hops with a nice dose of funk and sweaty socks. Dark fruitiness. Clear amber gradient with a creamy beige head. Medium bitterness with caramel and a lot of malt, mild-medium carbonation with that characteristic mild hoppy funk. Bittersweet doughy malt on a medium-full body. Touch of sour malt and leather. Long, dry, bitterish aftertaste. Relatively complex and a nice session.

Amber in appearance with a nice-looking small head. Heavy malt aroma. This stuff is fairly balanced though I found it to be a little on the malty side. Overall, a great pint!

[12 oz. bottle] Clear amber color with a puffy white head and good lacing. Very light aroma of caramel and possibly butterscotch. Crisp and sweet taste with a smooth hop and malt balance and a refreshing aftertaste that kind of tastes like apples. Good hints of caramel throughout. Quite tasty and refreshing.

Very good balance of malt and hop flavors - but even still, tasted sweeter than I expected from a british ale. Overall, though, a great beer.

Can. Clear copper colored, tiny white cream head. Lightly sweet malt aroma. Scents of grassy and hayish hops. Moderately sweet malt flavor, nutty with an earthy hopbitterness. Slim body. Well balanced. Very drinkable, very English.
