Somewhat sweet, malty nose. Traces of coffee. Malt flavor with a bit of yeastyness on top. Very drinkable with a chewy texture. Smooth, but hangs a bit in the mouth. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 10, 2004 Pasturised bottle, too many times. This is a medicore distant realitive to the cask version. Somehow it succeeds in being harshly carbonated yet feeling incredibly flat at the same time. There’s nothing horrible about it, but no thanks. AmEricanbrew (1902), Wynot, Wyoming, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 6, 2004 Clear amber body, foamy lasting off-white head. The aroma is mainly malty, smells like a Fuller's! Flavors are malt sweetness up front then a good dose of hops. Decent beer but it does not really standout in any way. Drinkable though. From what I recollect I remember enjoying more on cask. emacgee (1891), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

Coppery orange with a thin slightly creamy off white head. Pretty standard english style. Smells earthy and herbal hops, basementy, caramel sweetness. Taste has a moderate hop background, sessionable, noticeable malt sweetness, toned down herbal hops. Not bad overall. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
