Hop aromas...herbal and earthy. Very rich creamy texture, perfect for the caramel and toffee maltiness. The English hops are pretty substantial...goes well with spicy Indian cuisine, herbal and earthy bitterness cleaseses the palate very well.. DrnkMcDermott (1865), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 11, 2008 Half-liter bottle, Best Before 8 Sep 08. Nice coppery pour from the bottle, thin layer of white foam. Nice English hop bitter smell. Taste shows a pretty substantial malt profile; not too sweet, but hearty with a bit of caramel (never cared for toffee). Earthy and peppery English hops. Seems to be more effervescent than the ESB. Very likable and easy drinking. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 24, 2008 Pours a hazy amber color with a small white head. Smells of hoppy citrus fruits, grapefruit, and a touch of malt. The flavor is lightly malted as well, with the hops becoming more prevalant in the flavor. Has almost a bready flavor to it, with a crisp bitter finish. The aftertaste was lightly hoppy, with almost a sweet fruitiness to it. Pretty good bitter. Fullers is usually pretty solid. Bronze.
Mint, english hops, caramel, herbs butter and apricot in the aroma.
Apricot, orange, herbs, lemon and pine. Finely balanced. Light bodied. Velvety texture.
This hit the spot. I would have had a few more if they weren’t five bucks per can. LinusStick (1855), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Pour was a decent medium gold with a one finger off white head. Taste was awful. All caramel malt with a very sweet wet aftertaste. This beer embodies everything I hate about English beer. Blah. Nice head. Pleasant taste, sweet malt, coffee and mocha. Dry aftertaste. Amazingly complex beer at this low alcohol. lithy (1849), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 18, 2008 Clear, dark amber orange color with a thin small bubbled white-tan head that settles quickly. Malty, very bready caramel aroma. Taste is grain husks, grainy malt, caramel and earthy British hops. This was slightly oxidized but had a best by date of July 28 08 so that can be slightly forgiven. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
