Very cloudy appearance. Sharp grapefruit aroma and flavor. Sharp and thin. The hop character, which obviously was there, is blown away by the citrus fruit. This beer shouldn’t be like this, but the flavor is, strangely enough, OK. faroeviking (6042), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

A strange dusty and hoppy nose but reasonably inviting. Colour is a wonderful clear tan/red, shame about the head, it died to nothing almost instantly. Plenty of hops in the flavour with some bread and caramel in there too. Plus a little hint of orange on my second attempt. Reasonable hoppy finish. Standard English stuff as far as I am concerned but worth a try. thewolf (5744), Kolding, Denmark

Nice, slightly pale brown amber. Head is small, off white and a little fizzy. Aroma is heavy malty with loads of caramel and a zesty citric feel. Flavour is sweet, slightly tart in the caramel and a good dry bitterness at the end. Mouhtfeel is initially spritzy, but settles in my mouth. Rastacouere (5553), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

This one displays a dark caramel body with orange shades. Head is initially thin-medium, fairly diminishing. For some reason I thought this was an english strong ale, but this stroke as a bitter from the first sniff which had a good deal of earthy maltiness and a soft apples and hoppy oranges fruitiness. Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated, medium bodied. Good hop/malt balance in general on a toasted bread layer, but the taste had a floral aspect that seemed almost grainy, though fresh grain, I assume some would say nutty. Bitterness is gentle, zesty, peachy. Easy drinking simpleish bitter. Magicdave6 (5501), London, Greater London, England

Grassy aroma and taste, non - dry mouth...Rerate: I actually drink alot of this now. Like a tamed down vertion of esb, but still spicey rich and incredibly drinkable. hopscotch (5483), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Butterscotch and very light perfume in the aroma. Nice, malty flavor with a note of vanilla. Well-bittered for balance. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, malty, bitter-sweet finish with only a pinch of salt thrown into the kettle. A bit on the light side, but satisfying as a good ESB should be. Left me wanting another. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England
