Clear, dark amber orange color with a thin small bubbled white-tan head that settles quickly. Malty, very bready caramel aroma. Taste is grain husks, grainy malt, caramel and earthy British hops. This was slightly oxidized but had a best by date of July 28 08 so that can be slightly forgiven.

Pours amber with an off-white head. A little bitter with a mellow hoppy fruityness. Also a malty sweetness. Medium bodied. Low carbonation. Bitter dry finish.

Nice malt nose, english hops that I don’t normally like are well done. Very nice beer. Chewy toasted malt, restrained hops, grassy finish.

On tap at Barley’s. Notes of baked goods, oatmeal cookies, and light hops. Copper orange. Poured with no head. Little evidence of carbonation. Bready/biscuity caramel malts. Floral/perfumy hop flavor. At bit on the thin side, watery, with little carbonation. All said, this was a very ordinary beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber color. No head to speak of and little lacing. Malty and floral hop notes in aroma. Near medium body, very smooth mouthfeel. Nice blends of malt flavors, hops pop in at the finish quite nicely, subtle. Decent.

Tasted 4/13/09. 12oz bottle. Best Before 14 Feb 10/319. Filtered with a dark golden hue. Medium off-white head. Aromas of sweet breads and mild cereal grains. Medium bodied with a decent effervescence and a dry finish. Dry earthy hops with a citrus undertone. Bready light roasted malts. Good hops. Good solid English brew!

Bottle 500 ml. Clear copper color, off-white head. Sweet malt, not very hoppy, watery, and then a dry bitterness in the finish. Easy drinking, but very average beer..
