| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2004 Body is a darker amber colour that is fairly transpatrent. Aroma is toffee sweetness with some hoppy notes. This beer tastes like a well balanced mixture of hops and sweet malty characters. I’m really glad I finally got to try this one! | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Perhaps the subtleness of this beer is missed on my palate. Either that or this is just a so-so beer. I’m betting on the so-so part. Highly drinkable would probably be the best thing about the beer. Aroma had some sick-fruity sweetness to it that I’d probably rather avoid, caramel, malts and shortbread cookies. Where’s the hops? Appearance is a clear orange color, nice head with minimal retention and lacing. Flavor of light fruit, flowers, sweet malts, and lightly toasted bread. I couldn’t detect anything that resembled hops that I know of. I’m going to find another bottle to see if this was a bid on the old side of things. kiefdog (1628), Tampa, Florida, USA
