| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2002 Rerate: on-board BA 17 LHR-SIN Quite a nice beer to have available in economy class. I was always interested to rate a beer on board an aircraft to see what difference the lower air pressure would make to the aroma, palate and flavour. Well, the result is that maybe the head doesn’t last as long and the aroma and flavour are maybe a touch fuller (ha!) than before. It certainly makes a pleasant change from the regular swill they usually provide on planes.
First Rated 5/11/2002 3.2 Rich clear orange brown colour with light beige head. Fragrant floral hops with stronger malt and caramel overtones. Smooth and big bodied with yeasty, bitter sweet flavour and softer slightly sweeter but satisfying finish. wunderbier (1267), Tampere, Finland
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Jul 21, 2003 Updated: Sep 2, 2008Clear pale copper hue underneath a fading and fluffy head. Flinty and bready nose with ripe apricots and a dash of sulfur. Bready flavor with a little sweetness by way of apples, then fruity bitterness with a mineral-metallic dryness at the finish. Lean bodied, soft carbonation, oily and mildly astringent.
The mineral sharpness and astringency is a bit too much over time and the raw fruitiness seems to obscure the malts.
50 cl bottle, best before 28 April 2009.
18.6 oz bottle, pint glass. Pours a nice amber shade of iced tea - much like their India Ale - with a small, creamy white head that is quickly diminishing. Pleasant, warm hops smell of herbs and grass. Perhaps cookie and caramel malt? Taste starts of mildly sweet and finishes mildly sweet, mildly bitter. Slight acidity in the short, quenching finish. Medium consistancy, watery texture, flat carbonation. Overall not a bad effort, except: flavors are watered down and it reminds me of drinking iced tea. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2003 First good beer that I tried many moons ago. Honey colored, pours small white head, translucent. Aroma and flavor are dominated by malt, sweet and carmelly, bittering from the hops is there and somewhat balance the malt(not entirely). Dang gone I'm going to have to get to London again and have this one from the tap. GRM (1261), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2005 Excellent session ale. Poured an amber colour with a formidable, long-lasting head. The nose is fairly light and zesty, with the distinctive honey notes of Fullers’ house yeast, plus some citric hops. It’s light bodied and quenching. Some citric hop characters against a faintly nutty background and some restrained bitterness. Toffee notes, too. Gets more interesting the further down the glass you progress. I found myself raising my initial Overall Impression a notch by the end of the glass. A very satisfying ale. (Bottle) turbo (1254), Arizona, USA
