clear orange with a surprising chocolate flavor tone that fades into a bitter, mediciney aftertaste

Clear gold with a robust well sustained white head. Light fruity aroma with a bit of spice. LIght to medium body. Light caramel sweetness balanced well by a bitter, dry finish.

Found this one on draught in Chicago, Illinois. Clear, dark yellow pour with minimal head, sweet and fruity nose, light maltiness with a milky mouthfeel. Highly drinkable.

this is a beer that i used to love and still do like it. it can come in many different forms...cold cask is the best, of course. and one of my favorites when flying on virgin airlines. nice malty grainy beer with subtle hop fruit characters.

Pours a clear pale copper with two fingers of creamy off-white head; nice lacing. The flavor is of dusty, fruity malt, minerals spicy/earthy hops. Light to medium-bodied and soft with a dry mineral finish. The flavor is of fruity, toasty caramel malt with a mildly spicy/earthy hop finish. Fairly fairly complex for 4.7% ABV and similar to Fullers ESB, but along with a decrease in ABV comes a downgrade in mouthfeel and flavor. It’s a solid session brew, but I can’t think of any reason that I’d choose this beer over their ESB.

Amber-caramel in colour with medium carbonation. Strong toffee aromas with some fruit in the background. I can recognize the Challenger hops in this one, as I often use them in my homebrewed bitters. Caramel malts dominate the palate, with a clean bittering quality providing some balance. Not really enough hop contribution in the flavor department, but a a solid bitter nonetheless. Thanks Lubiere.

Bready, nutty, malty flavour, with just enough hops for balance. Quite good.
