Bitter with hops but a strange kind of (cherry?) maybe taste? Kind of metalic. Overall, average but that strange taste just kept rubbing me wrong. Pwn3d (1086), Manhattan, New York, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2004 clear amber color with medium white head, dark sugary/malty aroma. didn’t get the butter at first, but I’ll agree it was there, more like a browned, butter though. unique malty flavor with more dark sugar, and a light bitter hop finish. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 18, 2007 i found the beer to be medium in body and very light in flavor. actually i could discern very little flavor other than light broomstraw and a light hop remnant on the middle of the palate. the beer is not particularly watery or thin as i see it, but i find it insubstantiate. i can not in all sincerity be sure what i tasted other than that it was beer and it was not offensive in any way. as the English like i suppose. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Mar 1, 2005 Pours a nice amber with a small tan head, lots of bubbles clinging to the side of the glass. Aroma is lightly floral and hoppy, with a touch of honey as well. Flavor is creamy smooth and sweet, just a small bite of hops. Very drinkable. M0RHI (1067), Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Smell is equally balanced malts, some hops, though alcohol is there in the nose. Some fruit, lots of malts and some hops in the mouth. Mouth is of caramel slightly. Mouthfeel is watery. Easy drinker, slight oily palate. Good session ale. Downside is it’s farrrrrr too over-carbonated, bubbles away vigourously. rustychiles (1057), Mesa, Arizona, USA
