,500 ml can from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep amber, clear, nice off-white foam. Aroma: Nice pine, resin and citrus hops, some toffee/caramel, light dried fruits, biscuit, Palate: Medium+ body, soft effervescence, smooth. Flav.: Similar to the nose with great hop character, decent malt backbone; dry with good bitterness and a fairly clean finish.

Classy.

Pours a golden orange with a small soapy white head. Aroma of malts, and a little fruit. Flavor of malts and fruits and bread. Very smooth slightly sweet finish. Decent brew.

Deep copper color. Sweet carmel malt up front with a slightly hop bitter finish. Not a bad brew, but not the best from Fuller’s.

Not that thrilling. Can’t say much about it. English style, so malty with minimal hop accent. Nice color and appearance. Wonder why this one scores so high?

Very attractive deep copper - very clear. Pours a pillowery, fat head. Broad malts on the nose, some sweetness. More malts in the mouth, slightly subdued, but shows good balance. Very broad finish. Some bitterness but a long way from aggressive.

500ml bottle: poured a decent copper-gold with a smallish tight cap. moderate carbonation...aromas of spice, apples some pine. prickly mouth feel from over carbonation for the style (IMHO)...Hop pronounced.... malts take a back seat but deliver a distinct sweet biscuit taste that is not overpowered by the well balanced pine, woody hops. A smooth and mildish character in a standard for the style.

Pours clear orange with a small head. Aroma of caramel and toasty bread. Taste brings perfumy and bitter hops to the mix. Bitter finish. A lot of malt in the one, like a marzen or something, with added bitterness. Quite good.
