I was rating this while drinking it on the site the other nite and my service (or RB, not sure which) timed out. And I was kinda drunk so I just sorta went to sleep and forgot about it. Now I could make something up like "I really loved the fruity esters" or "it was very plummy and smelled of horse-urine soaked smoked arrugula" with a "velvety-smooth creamy sticky sex mouthfeel mmm love to lick, lick, lick it up" but that would be just silly 'cuz I can't really remember all that well. It was good. Isn't that enough? HenrikSoegaard (4406), Randers, Denmark

Orangy amber color with a beige head that ringed. Thin to medium body with mild carbonation. Bready caramel malt with mild bitter. Overall it does seem well balanced. Fruity notes run through it. Not really sweet at all. The finish is clean, primarily dry with a decent level of bitter. A British ESB with possibly less strong malt than many. Good, and better than remembered. Good to revisit. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

This is smooth some hops and a little malt. Slightly buttery in the finish, like Fuller's ESB. A solid entry, but not my favorite Fuller's beer. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2004 Caramel and brown malt aroma with pleasant hop nose. Clear copper coloured with pillowy white head that recedes to cover with good strong lacing and plenty of visible carbonation. Maltiness dominates the flavour without being at all sweet. Nice brown malt flavour with decent balancing bitterness that never overpowers. Carbonation is playful on the tongue and body is fairly light. Definitely a thirst-quenching session-style bitter. If I could get this beer here, it would be a mainstay in my fridge. Bottle (4.7%). Thanks CapFlu. BBB63 (4271), La Porte, Indiana, USA

Malt is noticeable but it's really the hops which get your attention. Wheat bread aftertaste which the hops cut through. A good standard bitter. cgarvieuk (4215), Edinburgh, Scotland
