This is my everyday bottled beer at home. A warm coppery colour with a rampant creamy head which soon settles. A sweet hoppy taste with a bitter finish. Hits the spot every time. Good on draught too.

Bottle. Deep golden color, moderately carbonated, medium head. Some bread and citrus in the aroma. Goes down easy! Nice balance of malt and hops. I liked it better on tap in Europe, but still a bottle I’d buy again. Classic.

bouteille de 500ml, très belle bière cuivré avec une mousse onctueuse agréable à l’œil, nez typique de houblon, goût très prononcée et long. excellente bière.

Dark amber beer with off white head. Slight aroma of roasted nut and caramel. When this rich mix hits the pallet wow what a great flavor. Bought a case of this for a 4th party and just an awesome beer, smooth and pleasant drinker.

It could be that I am so dead from flying from San Francisco to London that anything would taste good. Or maybe I’m just filled with the excitement of being in London for the first time as I sip this from my hostel in the heart of Westminster. But this is really making me happy right now. Pours from 500ml bottle a nice amber with lots of persistent lacing. Creamy on the palate, like several pub ales I’ve tried. Pretty sweet, medium bodied, and a nice hoppy kick added in. I’ll look for this one when I’m back Stateside for sure.

on tap @ BBC in Sandwich MA, the thing about English beers is that even though we Americans can enjoy them for what they are, we are used to more body and flavor, especially an ale like this one that would resemble some of the east coast pale ales. taste and palate are fantastic, body is a little light, head and lacing are almost non-existant, but definitely a great session beer, very enjoyable.

Pours a beautiful clear amber with a medium, off-white creamy head. A nice sweet malt and fruit aroma. Medium, somewhat creamy body with light carbonation. Flavor a little malty, some citrus, with a light bitterness that pulls through to the end. Very drinkable, a great session brew.

500ml can. Light clear copper colour with a moderate white head. Aroma is nice, malt, hops, and a note of sweetness. Burst of flavour right up front, smooth and clean mouthfeel. Nice hop flavour all the way through, and slight hop bitterness. Has a somewhat weaker aftertaste than I’d like, but overall, I really enjoy this.
