Aroma features the classic Fullers yeast nose of orange fruit, crisp warm malt and a faint hint of tangy hop. On the palate there is sweet malt reminiscent of baking, orange fruit and a balanced finish of malt, citrus fruit and gentle bitterness. sanmiguel (118), Illinois, USA

Delightfully hoppy with a citrus bite. Quite wet in the mouth for a beer of its strength. Not at all sweet but neither dry. davidpl (435), Santiago, Chile

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 25, 2007 Great English Ale whether it be an ESB or Pale Ale it’s really fantastic. Burnt roasty aroma, buttery with a nice hop nose. Glorious copper pour with a fluffy white head and mediocre lacing. Hearty malt body, woody and bitter. Flavor is real grand. Lightly roasted malt, slightly burnt with a heavy smokiness I wasn’t expecting. Caramel with a slight butter flavor that is actually complimentary. Peaty and earthy balanced with some strong bittering hops. Good product from across the pond. Brewosk (137), Illinois, USA
