Not overly bitter finish but rather fruity. I will likely wait to try this on tap as I think it would make the beer taste much better. Still a great example of Brtish Ale. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2007 Pours a nice rich amber color with almost no head. Bit of spicy hop taste to it but short finish and goes down smooth. A very nice beer for dinner. JesseM (679), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2007 Updated: May 8, 2009500ml can. Pours a nice golden-orange colour, with a rich creamy head that’ll take some time to settle. The aroma is malty of course, hoppy, some pineapple, caramel, citrus, I was expecting banana but it’s mostly piney and citrusy. Flavour is more of the same but very smooth, less tang than I thought there would be given the very evident elements of pineapples. There’s a tiny hop bite in the finish. The carbonation is non-existent in the taste despite the carbonated look of the beer in the glass. Nice brew over-all but nothing spectacular. EDIT: This one definitely grew on me. I love the malt character to it, and the hops add a great sense of balance to the whole picture. A good go-to-session-brew. Ober (1235), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands
