Decent ale, not too bitter. Good malty taste

A simple malty beer. It has an hoppy aroma, the hops being of a earthier flavor and aroma than I am getting normally with the local northwest US beers. A good beer but easily my lest favorite of Fuller's line

Poured a nice dark amber color. Aromas of caramel, fruit, and spice. Flavor is medium sweet with a nice hop bite.

Draft. Nice color and some piney aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Excellent malt and hop balance, and good for normal drinking.

On tap at Drop Off Service in New York City, it tasted weak and watered down. But I purchased a bottle and gave it another try - this time it rates higher. It looks great: an amber pour with a nice, lazy head and lace. The hefty bottle is decorated with a simple, but attractive label. Soft mouthfeel and mild, dry English hops. Pleasant flavor with a little astringency and a hint of lemon zest. It is a little on the light side, but this is still a gold standard English bitter.

Tasted during outage: A nice, rich amber looking beer that pours a good 2 finger head and settles with some a good lace, light hop aromas well balanced with the malts, balance is the beer as not one single element is overpowering. an easy drinker that quenches the thirst with nice flavors, nice sessionable beer, one of my favorite brand of beers, Fullers, getyasum.

On tap in London, Uk, in April/2008. A light copper color with a big creamy head. Very nice beer.
