A bit caramelly like the ESB, but not nearly as smooth drinking. Nice carbonation, very subdued and balanced. Excellent session. Slipstream (770), USA

But I purchased a bottle and gave it another try - this time it rates higher. It looks great: an amber pour with a nice, lazy head and lace. The hefty bottle is decorated with a simple, but attractive label. Soft mouthfeel and mild, dry English hops. Pleasant flavor with a little astringency and a hint of lemon zest. It is a little on the light side, but this is still a gold standard English bitter. Swalden28 (1512), McKinney, Texas, USA

Pours a very nice looking amber with off-white head. Nice aroma of caramelized malt with nicely balanced hop. Flavor has a pleasing malty backbone with nice hop flavor with slight bitter. Im going to say this is a Co2 and nitro combination, low-medium carbonation with creamy mouthfeel, threw me off at first, wasn’t expecting that.....smooth....Overall, this is a enjoyable beer.... wacohoover (100), Garland, Texas, USA

I Feels fairly bold in my mouth, and as it hits the back of my throat I can really taste some fruitiness and flowers. I like this beer. Better in cask though. Indulgence (141), Ajo, Arizona, USA

Aroma is dark malty and spiced hoppy aroma. Flavour is quite solid of dark malt, spiced hops, medium sweet and with a distinct hoppiness which is not too over powering. Overall another nice beer from Fullers. Nordcore (290), North of, Norway
