This is better than the bottled ESB. Balance is the word here, and it makes a good marinade for pork, augmented with Maille coarse-ground Dijon mustard and some garlic.

*Weeps, knowing that I won’t get many better than this...* Appearance is great -- bottle, label, light tea colored ale and standing froth. Aroma is butter-rum, caramelized sugar and hops. Flavor is well-balanced for a pale ale, the hops catch you going rather than coming. Palate is a borderline 4, more like a 3.5.

When I start a drinkin’ I swear that Fuller’s griffin starts talking to me, ’grab another brew’. It has a nice maltiness to it and goes down very well. Not much aroma, but has a pleasant taste that keeps you going. Is this considered a session beer? I could drink this for a few sessions and then some.

I had this in a bottle. It poured a large, creamy head, and left lace all the way down the glass. The color was a nice orange-brown. This is one of my favorite beers. Great with a sandwich and fries!

A fantastic beer from a fantastic brewer. Nice rich bronze color, medium head, with a distinct hoppy taste. Very long finish with a floral aftertaste.

Another of my favorite bitters. I love this beer on the still warm fall days. It is a perfect beer to drink while BBQ’ing. Very crisp and refreshing.
