Clear orange. Sticky, dense white head. Scattered carbonation. Mild buttery toffee aroma, toasted pale malts and soft hops. Mellow with a slick feel and low carbonation. Lovely mix of floral, grassy hops and toasted pale malts. Fairly dry. Medium light body. Light cherry skin fruitiness. Smooth and easy going. Finishes with a hint of bitter filberts. A quintessential, authentic version.

Pours a flat, light amber with a small creamy white head. Bready, straw malts with grassy, grapefruit and perfume hops, although the nose takes some time to open up. Quick sweetness up front with a lingering bitter finish. Despite flat appearance, carbonation is lively on the palate. Makes for a well balanced pale ale.

on tap @ BBC in Sandwich MA, the thing about English beers is that even though we Americans can enjoy them for what they are, we are used to more body and flavor, especially an ale like this one that would resemble some of the east coast pale ales. taste and palate are fantastic, body is a little light, head and lacing are almost non-existant, but definitely a great session beer, very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a minimal head. Subtle flavors of cereal and grass, accompanied by an initial sour taste that becomes bitter as it finishes.

500ml can poured into a mug. Poured a clear amber colour with a 3/4" bubbly head. The foam didn’t last long and only a bit of lacing was produced. Flowery & light caramel aromas. Smells inviting. Taste has a rather light malty caramel sweetness throughout with a metallic hop bite in the finish. The mouth feel has some creaminess yet feels a little thin. Easy to drink but not something I would want again and again.

Bottle. Pours clear light amber with smallish bubbly white head. Mild biscuity malt and British-style hops. Mild and gentle overall, but a nice little beer. Nothing special, but hard to find fault with it.

50cl bottle poured into a pint glass. Amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, nuts, and some grassy hops in the background. Dominant flavor is grassy hops with sweet malt in the background. Moderately bitter finish. Good beer.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Clear amber brown colour, thin white head. Aroma of nuts, malts and caramel. Flavour is sweet, nutty, malty and caramel, light hoppy bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Good, but fairly standard bitter.
