Bottled. Dark brown with a white head. Sweetish aroma, caramel. Somewhat nutty. Hint of dried fruit. Dry, moderately bitter finish.

Bottle: poured a reddish amber colour with an off-white head; malty aroma, full in the mouth with a nutty, malty taste and a gently bitter finish. OK, but not Fuller’s best beer.

Bottle, think that I got this in a Fullers brewers pack thing that they do, anyway it’s been kicking around for some time. Copper coloured beer with a malty aroma, some nuttiness in the taste along with pleasant malted flavours, quite a nice beer for this autumnal time of year.

Although I’m a fan or Fullers beers, i wasn’t overly impressed with this! Head was non existent, but did have a lovely amber glow to it. Very much a malt dominated brew,but I found it a bit unbalanced, there are some hops just noticable in the background,but they don’t play a major role...overall...well, not up to much really!!!

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Attractive russet colour with disappearing beige head. Nice raisiny malt aroma. OK in mouth, but a bit too carbonated which is a shame. Some coffee on the toasty malts and some more burnt raisins. Nice warming beer.

Aroma is doughy, with maltiness coming around, maybe a little hops of an unknown sort too. Taste is initially all malt with a weak body, nuttyness comes through to help it out later on. I think i drank this beer to warm could do with a little chilling i recomn ratrher than room temp.

Bottle. Nutty nose. Deep amber with a thick creamy head and fiery copper centre. Flavour is malty, dry, and has hints of spiced fruit. Lingers on the tongue in a persitant and pleasant way. This lot just don’t make a bad beer.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Amber. Aroma predominantly malty (toffee and nuts) with pasteurised cardboard and boiled sweet characteristics. Little bit sweet. Carbonated mouthfeel, dry finish.
