Nutty, chocolatey, caramel malt aroma has notes of dark fruit. Clear copper coloured body is topped by decent white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Nutty, cocoa flavour with some caramel, toffee and the lightest hints of butterscotch. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Bottle sampled at RBESG 2005.

Bottled. Clear amber. Fruity hay aroma. Buttery and toffeish with typical Fuller style solid, bold mouthfeel. Piney, bitter finish.

Bottle, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting. Clear amber colour. Citrus and nuts in the aroma. Nutty flavour and aftertaste. Not bad for a pasteurised bitter.

Bottle RBESG. Clear, light brown color. Very malty, roasted flavor. Too thin but pleasant. Dry palate. Nice.

Top marks for presentation in the glass. It has a pleasant depth of orange amber and a clean fluffy head. The nose is of dried fruit and toffee that gives a good hint of what is to come. But then, what happened to the flavour? Thin and astringent without any real body and character. Its a rate even if I don’t rate it.
