Reddish brown bitter with a strong head. The aroma is hopped and strong, and the flavour is very dry, caramel and bitter. Overall a very good strong bitter.

A lovely refreshing bitter. Sweet but not overpoweringly so with a lasting pleasant aftertasteTried it in bootle form which is very rare in England so it was a real treat.

Deep tawny red hue with a decent off white head. Hoppy toffee nose, rich warming nutty taste with hints of coffee and toasty malt. A beer with some good complexities. Good stuff.

Nutty caramel aroma. Dark amber with tan head. Fruity nutty sweet start with a mild dry finish. Not bad.

Bottled. Part of the Fullers Autumn Fest Pack. A good toffee accented ale. Nice and clean with no tricky corners. Plastic smooth mouthfeel - as to be expected with a pasteurised beer. Cardboard notes all over the place. Strange mix of the good, the bad and the ugly. Feels strangely thick and heavy for a 4.8% beer - did they put some treacle in this? I’d be interested in experiencing this from the cask because it does have promise, but certainly in the bottle it’s a dead Harry.

Cask. Dark chestnut colour. Fruity, malty, flowery flavour. Very bitter, quite harsh aftertaste.
