Deep copper hue with a decent off white head. Rich honeyed nose. Fantastic caramel malty body with a crisp hoppy citrus finish. A great full bodied winter ale.

500 ml bottle. Brown coloured and crystal clear. Tall fluffy white head. Raisiny sweet marzipan aroma. Crisp malts. Sharp acidic hop flavours at first, then mellows out a bit, but lasts all the way towards the end. Lots of hops here, definitely British hops, that infuse the otherwise malty ale. Nutty and malty flavours. Characterful ale.

(Bottle 02/11/07) Caramel, citrus fruity, nutty and malty aroma. Dark red brown colour, clear and small, white, fully diminishing head with faint lacing. Rather bitter, fruity, slightly roasted malty, toffee and butter-like flavour. Medium-bodied and lively carbonated palate. 08/11/06

Bottle: Deep red amber colour, with a nice creamy white head. Aroma of TOFFEE, lots of toffee, citrus and lots of maltyness and flowers. Flavor is Toffee, and a little bit of coffee and dry hopyness. Flowers and a dry bitter finish. Medium body, medium finish. It was a ok, but not more than that.....

Clear brown color, short off-white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, some caramel, bit nutty, very hoppy. Very hoppy flavour throughout, with some background caramel and spice. Nice creamy mouthfeel, refreshing and drinkable.
