Pours a copper color with a nice white head which dies and leaves some lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, nuts, english hops. Flavour is lightly roasted with caramel, nuts and that typical english hop taste. I also think there is a slight milk chocolate note. Ends with a good bitterness. Pretty smooth, mediumbodied, quite low carbonation. A good winter beer from Fullers. Very drinkable!

500 ml bottle. A low big-bubbled lightly tanned head upon a shiny dark copper brown colored body. Spiced caramel aroma. A little roastiness and a nice whiff of dark fruits and dusty hops. Taste has a strong malt base, light nutty, caramellish with an appropriate bitterness. Healthy body. Light to medium body. Malty-sweet, light bitter ending. Well rounded and moreish.

Dark brown, firm pale head. Simple malty nose with strong nuttiness and little herbal hops. Flavor has the same nuttiness, roasted malts and english hops. Medium bodied, average smooth palate. Not that warming strong ale, misses totally that fruitiness. A good session brew though.

An amber/copper colored beer, with beautiful thick beige foamed head. The aroma of caramel spices and fruits. The taste of sweet fruits, caramel, toffee and hops. The first flavor is smooth, but is gets bitter and dry, very nice. The bitters lingers on and stays. Very nice.

Draft at McGregors. Really good. Nice looking, orange/autumn look. Rich toffee and nuts aroma, strong maltiness. Lots of hops for an English ale came through, but nicely balanced. This was a nice treat.
