Nutty malt taste with a sharp bitter finish. Sounds like it ought to be good, but somehow it just didn’t quite cut the mustard. Carlus12 (361), London, Greater London, England

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2008 A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from Shamansburys. Rich translucent red amber colour, would probably be worth a 4 if it had a head, sadly after just a short while, there is none. Nutty malt aroma with plenty of bready notes and some odd marzipan like stuff. Rather medicinal in the flavour, reminding me a lot of germoline or Bazooka gum. Nice malt, interesting finish but nothing really to shout about. Still, certainly one of the better offerings from Fullers. DownsouthGav (602), Greater London, England

Pours a mahoghany coloured beer with a small head. Some cloying is noticeable. Taste of malt, honey, hops leading to a mildly bitter after taste. A well balanced beer. mugabe (216), Sweden

Pours with a deep bronze hue and creamy and big off white head. Highly hoppey flavour with raisin, cherry and nutty notes. Nice and syrupy wih some balancing bitterness in the finish. Great fruity flavour, bit tangy, bit malty but lovely full flavour, there are nuts there as well and some caramel, really nice beer (suprised that I hadn’t rated this one before)
