Bottle. Dark copper colour, medium head. Aroma of floral hops and caramel. Rich hop-laden flavour with some spice and a good warming feeling. Nice bitter finish.

Swee fruity and slightly nutty aroma. Pours with a deep bronze hue and creamy and big off white head. Highly hoppey flavour with raisin, cherry and nutty notes. Nice and syrupy wih some balancing bitterness in the finish. Very enjoyable winter ale.

Bottle picked up at Sainsburys, Kidlington, 0812-07 Pours brown in colour with some ruby highlights topped off with an off white head. Great fruity flavour, bit tangy, bit malty but lovely full flavour, there are nuts there as well and some caramel, really nice beer (suprised that I hadn’t rated this one before)

Bottle. Reddish brown color with an off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, nuts, toffee and caramel. Tastes of nuts, toffee, dark chocolate, caramel and some light grape like hop bitterness towards the end. Medium to full bodied with a creamy and dry mouthfeel.

Bottle. Chestnut brown with a beige foam. Aromas are nutty and peppery with ribena berries and some earthy hops. Flavours are toffee malts with dry nuttiness. Hoppy and peppery with vinous notes. Warming and bitter on the finish with some herbal aspects. Tastes stronger than its strength.

Hoppy and spicy (in my notes I simply put it "british"). Malty caramell adds to that. Full bodied. Satifactoring.

A dark amber, reddish color with a frothy beige head. A hoppy and spicy aroma. Full-bodied malt flavor with some bitterness from the hops. Caramel and hints of nuts in the flavor, even some chocolate coming thru. Leaves a sticky bitter palate. Overall very deep in taste with added freshness from the hops.

Clear, dark amber with a light off-white head that begins quite thin but quickly dissipates to form circles around the edge of the glass, interspersed with small islands of carbonation. Amazing spicy fruit notes with hints of caramel and a sharp hoppiness. Roasted malt flavours amidst sweet caramel qualities with some of the spice indicated in the aroma coming through. Quite full on the tongue and fills the palate with a mild but long resiny finish from the hops. No forthright complexity, but nicely balance and overall another top Fuller’s brew.
