Sweetish toffee notes, but stil with some earthy dryness about it. Not really complex or anything, just a fairly straight forward, toffee and slight dark fruit sweetness, not very exciting, but drinkable. SilkTork (4184), Rochester, Kent, England

Soft and creamy with buttery notes and a lip-smacking old fashioned English hop burn - deep, earthy and spicy. A great flavour journey from sweet to dusty. Gorgeous beer. Stunning. Rich ruby, small head. Complex aroma - dates, pipe tobacco, woody too. Tempted to say I can even recognise the aroma of the London water that’s so distinctively Fullers’. Very soft in the mouth. Huge woody nutty taste - leaves a long finish. Dry, but not drying. Excellent dark ale. They could afford to increase the horse-power a bit (high 5s-low 6s) with such a glorious taste and make it a real winter warmer. mjs (1541), Helsinki, Finland
