goozen (1061), Leiden, Netherlands Aug 25, 2007 Bottle 0,55ltr: Added with organic honey in this sweet golden ale. Just like the bee i like this one really good. MatKool (64), Canada Aug 23, 2007 Another great specialty brew from Fuller’s. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin lace head. Melony nose with the same palate but slightly watered down. Finish is bubbly, soft and sweet. A refreshing beer! rederic (1785), montréal, Quebec, Canada Aug 21, 2007 Bright golden color, with a big white head, but falls quickly, and leaving laces, wet hay, with a honeyed pale malt nose, with a flowery hop note, a faint fruitiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a a crisp sweet honeyed pale malt character, with a faint floral hop, hint of fruitiness, leading towards a malty, honeyish, subtle hoppy finish. Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Aug 20, 2007 A refreshing and pleasantly drinkable brew. Quaffable, with good character. Honey is not overt. M0RHI (1067), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Aug 14, 2007 Bottle, Doric Arch. Barman asked me if I wanted ice with it... Clear golden strwa, thin filmy white head. Nose is hoppy. Some honey and floral tones. Mouth is overcarbonated with some sweet disjointed honey. Fizzy taste and a hop/malt balance. Touch of metallic. Muggus69 (500), Sydney, Australia Jul 20, 2007 500ml bottle, BB 07/05/07...whoops. Aroma packed full of nice sweet honey and biscuity malt. Pours an pale orange-amber body with a creamy white head and thick lace. Body is full, slightly sticky, with a creamy carbonation. Palate is balanced towards the malty side with some nice biscuity toffee flavours backed by some smooth honey with a nice little tang of citrus-like hops towards the finish to balance the moderate sweetness. Finish is dry with an off-putting bready yeast flavour. Overall this is a nicely balanced honey flavoured ale. MoritzF (4858), Bochum, Germany Jul 20, 2007 (bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a foamy white medium-sized head. Light-sweet aroma with pale malt-character, lemon-fruity and zesty spicy notes, accompanied by notes of honey and traces of hops. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Malty base with honey coming through from the middle part and stays present to the aftertaste, which is fortunately just moderately sweet. I liked the rather restrained honey-character combined with a moderate sweetness. Decent brew. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 16, 2007 Bottle. Medium high fluffy white but lasting head. Clear amber body. Sweet barley malt aroma with a good deal of honey. Honey of course but also a bit of hops in a fine balance. The carbonation is there but seems just right to make the beer fresh. Short aftertaste though.
