DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Mar 7, 2006 Bottle at the Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. I rather like the bottled version of this, better than the draft version, which I also sometimes like. Sweet, good carbonation, with a gliding honey quality. Gets a better froth than the tap version. Good beer onystrom (741), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark Feb 25, 2006 Fine golden color with small head. Very faint sweet malt or honey flavor. Not very bitter and fairly ordinary. thewolf (5623), Kolding, Denmark Feb 16, 2006 A very nice yellow-golden colour, with a white head that clings to the glass. The honey is slightly noticable in the aroma, but gives much abrupt bitterness to the taste, slowing it of with its sweetness. unibaren (145), 8000 Århus C, Denmark Jan 31, 2006 The honey is definitely noticeable in the aroma along with a deliciously fresh hay-type of scent. Visually it is rather disappointing. The head which is off-white and small to begin with is gone in seconds. The colour is beautiful golden but the limited carbonation makes the beer look like leftovers from last night. The flavour on the other hand is delicious. It is light in the beginning, and then turns honeysweet before a nice hop-bitterness settles in the aftertaste. Even though the carbonation isn’t highly visible it is noticeable on the palate adding yet another counterpoint to the honey sweetness. Not quite a beer to die for but rather delicious nevertheless. turg (156), Quebec, Canada Jan 2, 2006 Bottle 500 ml: Appearence: Golden color with moderate head. Aroma: sweet honey. Flavor: sweet honey, malt. Aroma and flavor are same. Thank Piscator34. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 23, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Very intense, deep golden with only a small head. Very pronounced honey character, but the sweetness is really downplayed and never gets cloying. The honey only adds flavour - not stickyness. And everything is pretty balanced by a solid shot of Target. Quite a refined brew. 260201 iammadeofjelly (183), Liverpool, Merseyside, England Nov 9, 2005 Very similar in taste colour smell etc to waggledance, and they both rate about the same, i love the sweetness provided by the honey, real tasty.
