The aroma is sort of non-distinct malts, maybe some hops, a little corn, some skunk too (I’ve found that to be typical of this style). The initial flavours are just malts, kind of simple, but nice. Followed by some corn, then a tiny hop bite. The hops seem to be somewhat non-existent, and alcohol comes through in the finish as well. The aftertaste is really where the honey becomes evident, but I suppose it could also be contributing to the smooth and thick(ish) body and mouth-feel. Over-all a decent brew, I have yet to find a golden/blonde ale that I really like a lot though. Otje (668), Leiden, Netherlands
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 19, 2007 Light honey ale with a sweet tooth, flowery, citrussy and malty. Honey taste is not so pronounced as, let’s say: st. peters honey porter, but it’s there, and i like this better. A bit lagerish. azlondon (667), Fribourg, Switzerland

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Pours a light honey brown with a tiny cap that was reduced to little more then spotty bubbles at the top of my glass after ten seconds very boring uninteresting beer that gave spotty lacing at best. Smell is very sweet and fruity, a floral aspect can also be detected in the aroma, I think most of the fruitiness can be traced back to hops mixed with honey but that’s just my guess. Very bready tasting, malts are abundant in this brew, the sweet berries that you notice in the smell also come through in the taste, my god there’s so much bread in this flavor. Beer is ok just a bit boring, it’s strange I think I can taste a lingering melon aftertaste but I’m not sure if that what it is or am I just being influenced by the bottle. Some aroma of honey and touch of floral flowery notes in flavor finishes a bit dry, Nice as a session brew nothing overwhelming just a quality brew, one of the tamer fullers brews I have had. nigos (620), Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 30, 2003 Sweet malt, toast and honey laced nose. Golden colour with a foamy white head. Medium bodied sweet honey and hop flavours, well balanced. Much better honey beer than youngs waggledance in which I could taste no honey. Just the high standard you would expect from Fullers.
