Taste has plenty of malts as well and the honey comes through mostly in the finish.Quite sweet, but has just enough bitterness to reach a sustainable balance. sound67 (215), Offenbach, Germany

Sweet fig aroma, low carbonation. Taste is honey and citrus fruit, with some malty bitterness. Smooth honey-bitter finish. A most agreeable not-so-soft drink - not too sweet, not too bitter. Of course, it’s not your every day beer. But it just goes to show that Fuller’s never put out a bad brew. :=) HogTownHarry (4020), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2006 Bottle (500ml). Poured deep bubbly gold with a thick lasting foamy white head. Honey malt aroma, dry grian, very mild stale herbal hops. Taste is similar, nice honey cereal grain, perhaps a hint of metal, the herbal hops provide a mildly bitter finish, and keep it from being cloying. Pretty thick bodied, somewhat syrupy, nicey lively - very refreshing; not amazing, but I’ll get a couple more for beautiful balcony days like today, watching the lovely ladies rollerblading by and the sailboats in the harbour. Winter sucks. Svesse (2683), Hässelby, Sweden

Fruity, clean nose with notes of grass and honey. Fruity, clean and fresh taste with honey, hints of grass and citrus in a fairly short finish. Not very bitter and not overly sweet. I often find these honey beers a bit too sweet, but this one was actually quite nicely balanced and refreshing. jetzler (622), oklahoma city, Oklahoma, USA

Some aroma of honey and touch of floral flowery notes in flavor finishes a bit dry, Nice as a session brew nothing overwhelming just a quality brew, one of the tamer fullers brews I have had. If you don’t, you may find this a little sweet (as I did). Golden colour, little white head that disappears. Not much flavour here other than honey & toasted malts. As with all light lagers or ales, don’t let this warm up too much or it will taste really, really thin! Refreshing and very smooth when very cold, decent beer for what it is. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2007 500 ml bottle - pours medium gold, with a thick white crown. Very nice looking. Aroma a delicate mix of musty, earthy hops and a combination of malt and honey sweetness. They did it nicely in that the honey isn’t overpowering, but blends with the natural sweetness of the malt. The honey comes out a bit more in the flavour, which has more sweetness, woody hops, and a metallic edge. It almost seems as if the honey is a gimmick - the beer doesn’t need it as the malt provides ample natural sweetness. Light body with very little finish. Still, a good brew - nothing exceptional, but well made and would be a refreshing summer quaffing ale. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
