A slightly ’different’ sort of sweetness, perhaps. Colour is a bright gold. Small white head. A bit of bitterness. It’s not bad. thebeertourist (2822), Oslo, Norway

Sweet flavours initially, some graininess, countered by good bitterness. Quite alright. unibaren (145), 8000 Århus C, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2006 The honey is definitely noticeable in the aroma along with a deliciously fresh hay-type of scent. Visually it is rather disappointing. The head which is off-white and small to begin with is gone in seconds. The colour is beautiful golden but the limited carbonation makes the beer look like leftovers from last night. The flavour on the other hand is delicious. It is light in the beginning, and then turns honeysweet before a nice hop-bitterness settles in the aftertaste. Even though the carbonation isn’t highly visible it is noticeable on the palate adding yet another counterpoint to the honey sweetness. Not quite a beer to die for but rather delicious nevertheless. mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Vine leaf and earth cask aroma has some malt and some nice notes of roast beef wheat. Clear, orange amber body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet wheaty malt flavour has hints of good bandaid. Medium body. Drinkable, even fine warm (but not for long), maybe +1 for organic. DSG (1514), Tel Aviv, Israel

Pours clear golden color with a medium bubbly white head that diminishes quite rapidly. A rather fresh aroma of hops (with some herbal hints), flowery notes and honey. Sweet flavor with a big honey character, some malt, hints of caramel, some fruitiness and a mildly bitter finish with some hops. Medium-bodied. A bit too much honey sweetness for me to really enjoy, but still not bad at all. FatPhil (3481), Espoo, Finland

Gold, small tight head. Simple summer ale - creamy malty body, gentle hop bitterness, and a definite hint of honey. Salty laundered woolly jumper finish (Scottish ale style). Good beer for thirsty pack animals. Bullit (1374), Glasgow, Scotland
