Commercial Description:
Available in pasteurised bottles and kegs all year round.
Organic Honey Dew is the UK’s best selling organic beer. Light and golden with a zesty edge and a bitter-sweet flavour, Honey Dew is a naturally palatable brew that is Soil Association approved as 100% organic.
Served chilled, Organic Honey Dew offers both refreshment and an unbeatable taste. The real organic honey in the brew gives a gentle sweetness that appeals to a wide range of people, even those who perhaps wouldn’t usually drink beer, making it a very popular choice!

Golden color. Dried grass and light honey aroma. In the flavor, the honey presence is there, but it’s not overpowering like some other beers. It’s actually balanced fairly well. Not my style of beer though.

Bottle, from Sainsburys. Best before 21 April 2009. One of those Fullers bottled beers that I have had in the past but not got round to rating, until now. Mid gold colour. The honey is very prevalent in aroma and flavour. Quite soft mouthfeel. Unfortunately, there is a slight papery element, presumably arising from the pasteurisation, which rather compromises the overall impression. Nonetheless, although I am no great fan of honey beers, this was drinkable enough.

Bottle (from Sainsburys, BBE Sep 06). Main aroma is of biscuity malts and cream crackers. Honey becomes noticeable whilst drinking. Fairly dry at times but with some bursts of overly sweet caramel and honey flavours. Lacking in balancing hops both to counteract some of the sweetness and to add interest to what gets fairly boring.

Poured from the bottle, quite a bit of carbonation, clear golden yellow colour with a filmy white head. Malty aroma with honey, with some spice in the background. Earthy malt flavours with that honey (though not as strong as in the aroma, but stronger than when from the cask) - and I agree, a little bit soapy. Bitter and buttery in the finish.

(Bottle BB 08/11/06) Aroma of honey (surprise! :-). Golden colour, bright, slightly sparkling, small, fully diminishing white head with very small lacing. Flavour of honey, malt with a hint of hops. Very softly carbonated and medium bodied palate. 29/05/06
