Bottle, 3.1% ABV. This bottle expired in April 2003, so the pub gave it to me free. Copper colour, light carbonation, head soon disapears into nothing. Light, biscuity, bready, barely any bitterness. Very good for a bottle of light.

Poured remarkably clear amber with a luscious creamy white head. A biscuity/malty aroma that was just plain yummy. Way up front malty flavor that was well rounded and followed by just the right bitter finish, without much hop flavor. The yeast lends quite a bit of flavor, quite similar to a newcastle, and a good bit of those buttery diacetyl notes. Pour me another one. Gott-damn, pour me another five!

Cask Conditioned at The Queen Mary, Poole. Pale amber beer with healthy head. Badged for pub, Light fragrant pale with rounded malt and hop notes. Sweet finish with delicate flavour.

A well made and true to type Enlish Pale ale. Too many times this is confused with others like SNPA, it's not

It surprises me that this beer does not have a higher average score. I found it to be very smooth, satisfyingly complex in flavor, with a sweet balance to the hops that may for an enjoyable drink. Now if only it could hold a head!

Pours an amber color with a small head tht dissipates quickly. The odor is sweet and not very strong. Flavor is a bit weak and the finish slightly bitter. Not much hops here. I'm a little disappointed

Bottled. Poured a copper color with a nice head that left ample lacing on the glass. Not much in the way of aroma, maybe a little caramel/malt aroma. The first sip has this real cloying sweetness which was kind of surprising and not real pleasant. Subsequent tastes however weren't as sweet. I would have liked a little more hops in this pale ale. Overall it was good, but it was too expensive ($10.99 + tax per six pack).

Okay all around, but nothing overly special. Color was a bit better than a typical PA, and the hops provided a good crisp finish that lingers.
