Cask at Shepherds Crook, Georgetown. It’s an amber colour in a tall British pint glass with a slight, bubbly tan head. The aroma is full of caramel, butter, biscuit, slight hops. Mouthfeel is a bit on the creamy side. There’s toffee, creamy milk chocolate, more biscuit, butter in the flavour with a medium malt finish.

Cask at ’Volo Cask Days 2009’. Pours a somewhat clear golden-amber with a lasting creamy off-white head. Mild aroma of grassy hops and caramel malt. Slightly watery flavour of mild grassy hops along with caramel malt and a very light bitter finish. Average bodied. Just OK.

Cask. At Volo Cask Days 2009. I guess I was the only one to love this beer. Hazy amber with a large, lasting fluffy beige head. Dry aroma, mild pine duff, black tea with lemon - the taste followed - lemon/yea, herbal, with light crisp red apple sweetness - quite dry and crisp, lovely. Soft, dry, leafy mouthfeel, a bit still, but really well-balanced with a perfect finish. A lovely, lovely cask! You’re all wrong.

On cask @ Volo cask days: Appearance: Copper body with a full, proud white head. Aroma: Hmm, grassy, hay hops with malt, oats and pepper. Flavour: Grassy, hops. bitter enough but with a mild almost creamy mouthfeel and a light bitter finish.

[2555-20091031] Cask. Odd wet leaf and watery apple aroma. Clear, orange amber body with quick white bubbles. Mild fresh wood flavour and watery fruit with a butter finish. Medium body. Fair.

Cask at Churchill Arms, Kensington & Chelsea. Colour something between ruby and amber. Scarsely any head at all. Malty aroma with some fruits also present. Soft, malty flavour with notes of caramel and hops. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad by any means, but in my opinion could be better off with something little extra.
