scanovajr (291), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Jun 15, 2007 Bottled. Typical english ale. Deep amber with a nice wihite head. Aroma is fruity. Taste is malty and caramel. Dry and bitter end. TheGrandMaster (1434), Auckland, New Zealand Apr 25, 2007 Bottle, poured a darkish copper with an off-white bubbly head. Aroma was fruity and malty. A light smooth mouthfeel, warming malt flavours with a fruitiness in the background. Easy to drink and enjoyable. berkshire_john (1035), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Jan 1, 2007 Bottle: copper clour with a thin head; little aroma, but biscuity, toffee taste and some residual bitterness; very pleasant. harrisoni (5109), Ashford, Kent, England Nov 20, 2005 500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Chestnut colour wth thin beige head. Brown sugar, raisins and toffee on the aroma, which I quite liked. Good hops as well. Toffee dominates throughout. Smooth i mouth with toffee hop on end. Fine, quite drinkable and I quite like Fullers bottled beers especially the stronger ones WISEGUY572 (1099), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 5, 2005 A sessioin beer. Goof looking clear red beer with a small but creamy tan head than vanishes, leaving little lacing. Toasted malts and adequate hoppiness, but thin in the mouth and not a great deal of character. These are the guys who make 1845 abd a thoroughly amazing vintage ale, so I somehow expected more even from a low alcohol session brew.
