Clear golden colour. Slightly creamy on the palate. Fruity with a full hop finish.

Dec 30, 2009 Cask at the Falcon, Clapham Junction, Summer Beer Festival, 26th August 09. Golden ale looks. Dry citrus hop aroma and flavour. Easy drinking palate. Suprisingly good.

Jun 2, 2002 Sampled Cask condtioned. Tried this after some draught ESB, so this tasted weak. However, it’s light & refreshing - perfect for a hot summer’s day.
I might try this again, but with Chiswick Bitter, London Pride & ESB avaliable in Fuller’s pubs, why would I?

May 25, 2009 Cask conditioned handpump Sir Charles Napier Brighton A golden coloured beer with a little off-white head and lacing. A sweetish yet hoppy aroma and a sweetish taste with biscuit notes. A bit of butter and a bit of lemon. Nice enough but would easily become cloying

Sep 5, 2007 Cask, Jan Primus. Slight hazy golden color, short head. Aroma is very fruity of pear, apricot and citrus, some pilsner malt, some flowery hops. Bit dry and slight bitter, fruity and slight sour even. Not bad.

Sep 23, 2003 Fullers have recently jumped on to the summer quaffer bandwagon in a noble attempt to lure the lager drinkers. It is a style I quite like, and it was indeed a blazing hot day when I tried this. However, I thought it a little bland and lacking in bite. Consequently, I did not find it that refreshing. A reasonable effort, but there are better beers in this style - Hop Back Summer Lightning for one (but beware the deceptively high alcohol content of that one). Handpump, The Warrington, London W9, June 2003 - a must-visit pub if you are in the Maida Vale area.

Oct 2, 2003 Cask Conditioned at Chequers, Chipping Norton. Golden beer with thinnish head. Light roasted malts give a body to a clearly defined hop flavour, no real bitterness from the hops, but a crystal acid palate. Thin throughout, but very drinkable.
