Pours a dark brown/red color with a medium white head. A rich malty nose, sweet sherry and smoke. A very nice flavor of sweet sherry, rich earthy malts, caramel, loads of delicate port like flavors. Very nice. I think this was my favorite vintage yet.

Dusty hops, sweet malt. All the edges have been rounded off, just a smooth, sweet elexir. Over the top? Sure. But still a lovely liquor-like drink that is highly drinkable. But, on the other hand. I don’t think storing it longer will do much good. Not that this has been stored in optimal condition! pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA
